Burnet TX

Burnet Texas is locate near Marble Falls Texas and West of Liberty Hill Texas by the upper Highland Lakes on Highway 29. In 2000, the US Census counted 44,943 people in Burnet County with Burnet itself holding about 6144 people. Burnet is the County Seat of Burnet County and downtown Burnet TX has a great town square centered around the County Courthouse with fine old buildings surrounding it. Burnet County has traditionally been an agricultural community with livestock sales accounting for about 94% of farmers’ income (2002). Other major agriculture related industries include quarrying, and agribusiness. In addition to agriculture and ranch property, many visitors travel to Burnet county to enjoy water sports in Lake Buchanon and Lake LBJ. There are many horse properties and ranches in Burnet Texas as well as two of my favorites, the 1,324 acre gated Wolf Creek Ranch with 125 acres of common area and also 7 Creeks Ranch which has 5-100 acre sized tracts of land for sale.

Wolf Creek Ranch has a nice barn for boarding your horse with concrete center aisle, runs off each stall, round pen and working arena. There are many hitching posts around the ranch to ride and then take a break for a picnic under a tree or at the community pavilion or swim in the Morgan Creek swimming hole. This is a ranch style equestrian community in the Texas Hill Country.
